    Default Redhead packs

Does anyone use Redhead (Bass Pro brand) gear for camping, hunting, etc?
I was looking at one today that would make a good 3 day pack/bug out bag, but didn't know about how dependable it would be. Figured I'd check to see if anybody had 'field-tested' this stuff.

    Thumbs up

I don't know anything about their packs and such. But I've had a Red Head red dot sight on my mini.14 for years and has always worked just as good as some of my shootin buddies high dollar sights.

I got one of those too. Bought it for my old man's mini 14. No complaints so far. If it will last, the bag would be a goo buy. It's $69.99, but with my discount I could get it for $40.

Yep, I have a waist pack I've been using a few years now while hunting. Seems to be good quailty at a decent price.

I know this is an 'older' thread, but I figured I'd throw my experience in here. I've almost always found Red Head products to be made cheaply and not as durable as other 'name brand' items. About the only thing I've bought with the Red Head label on it that was worth the money were a pair of neoprene waders.

funy, the readhead waders I had sucked. but the two backpacks I have are awesome and have help up for years. I will say this though, the cabelas packs I have are better quality than the readhead.

you should be buying maxpedition anyway

I got some maxpedition gear, but I get a big fat honkin discount off of redhead stuff, so it's tempting.

My uncle got one of the redhead camo hiking packs with the external frame. It held up pretty good for the first couple of days. Then he had a clevis break on him. It was on one of the shoulder straps. We had to rig it with a d ring to get it carry able again. Other than that it held up ok.

As long as she doesn't have a BPS sticker attached to her, you shouldn't have any problems!
