    Default Kydex projects...

Anybody do any Kydex projects? Seems like one could make some magazine pouches and knife sheaths fairly easy....? I looked at some YouTube videos and it doesn't look hard to do at all.

Where is the best place to get supplies? I've been looking on KnifeKits.com and they have lots of Kydex stuff.

    I'm always interesting in trying.

There are tons of things I'd love to make kydex pouches for.

I think Glocktalk or AR15 had a DIY kydex post that was about eight pages long.Lot of sources for kydex but can't find where I saw it.I think the largest sheet knifekits has is 12"x12".I wanted to make one for my kukri but not sure that's a large enough size.I do like the looks of their rivet tool where you just hit the punch with a hammer.Cheap and simple.Had thought about buying a heat gun to do any modifications if the first attempt didn't work just right.

I'm gonna give it a try. I just recieved a custom kydex holster and mag carrier that I'm not impressed with to say the least. theres no reason I can't make something better.

www.knifekits.com they have kydex by the sheet.

it is as easy as it looks. some 3/4 ply wood, a couple of 2x4s, and some hinges and your press is made. use a blue ground mat from walmart for the inside of the press. I use a heat gun to heat up the sheets and just press it.

I also use leather to put the finishing touch on the edge of the kydex. gives it a nice smooth touch.
