Thread: Benchmade Nimravus Fixed Blade Knife

I'm considering purchasing one of these beauties. Particularly one with the ACU sheath.


I would like to know if anyone has one they'd like to talk about, or if anyone has comments on Benchmade in general. I've read up about boycotts on Benchmade and I'm not sure if I should let this change my purchase choice. I handled one in-shop and loved the weight and feel and size and balance but can't find anything else like it.

Something about them stealing designs from other people and trying to hold patents over general names like "bali-song" because of their "BALI-SONG" line or something.

Some people seem to have a problem with them, some of the reasons seem legitimate to me. If I can find a knife like it from someone else I'd get it. But right now I'm in love with the feel. Fit me perfectly.

Looks like a nice piece. My feelings are that if you find that one piece of gear that calls out to you like that, put all the propaganda bs aside and get it.

Now that you are aware of the rule why dont you go back and edit your original post to show a pic that you steal from their site, host with photbucket or something simial then redo the links?

I won one several years ago. Still have it. Nice blades.

I like mine so far. It's seen a lot of regular field use and rigging and of course MRE's and such.

I need to get whetstone and have someone teach me to use it.
