This is a daily driver and has been since April.

The above drive train and axles are all original to this jeep including full boxed factory frame. I spent just over a year looking for either a 84, 85 or 86 CJ-7 with this exact setup to restore. The hard top and doors are off of a YJ and are in great shape. On the drivers door window frame there is one spot of rust, you can see it in the pictures. And the back exhaust hanger has surface rust. Other than that the body and doors and frame are rust free. I never replaced the body like I originally intended because all of the rust was cut out and fixed then the body had the diamond plate wrap put on as you can see in the pictures it is all black.
I started out by replacing all the main and rod bearings to freshen up the engine since I was replacing the rear main seal and oil pan anyway. I then started looking at the transmission and decided to replace the front cover and seal as they are an inherent problem in the T-176 (luckily they are the only known problem in them).
The gauges are not all working like most CJ’s. The speedometer does work but is 10 MPH off. The fuel gauge works intermittently; I never replaced the sending unit. I intended to but that is one of the last things I was going to do and just never got around to it.
The only leak in the entire jeep is the oil fill cap. I cannot find anyone that has the right one in stock. It is a 4WP valve cover (non threaded) and my cap is not snug. Going up and down the mountain it will seep a little. On flat roads it stays dry.
The tires were put on less than 1000 miles ago. All the other parts have about 3000 miles on them.
There is a box I built in the back between the fenders it is lockable for storage. It is NOT bolted to anything it is simply compressed in between the fenders. It is easily removable if you don’t want it.
The ONLY issue with the jeep right now is in the last week or so the bendix on the starter sticks when you crank it for about 2 seconds. If I get the money between now and selling time I will rebuild it. If not you might want to throw a 60 dollar starter in it.
The following is a list of parts that I have put on the CJ. Everything is new and nothing is from a junkyard. I have a receipt folder to go along with the jeep for everything listed below.
