    Default The Colony

Anybody else had a chance to watch 'The Colony' on Discovery Channel? I can't stand reality shows, but this one is a little more interesting since, for the most part, they are having to "survive" in a post-apolcolyptic setting. It comes on Tuesday nights at 10pm. Set your DVR's!

If I'm off on a Tuesday I'll give it a look.

Yes , I like it . They made the small motor run on gas from wood . very smart people . I like how it is set up seems like it could be real .

That was a cool idea, but I have my doubts that they actually came up with the idea on their own. I know the computer scientist said that he heard about it from some Germans that lived during the Nazi regime, but have you noticed the disclaimer at the end of the show? It says that the colonists can be assisted with ideas by outside experts if it's deemed necessary. Maybe I don't give them enough credit, but I was skeptical about the authenticity of the wood/gas conversion.

Yup , I think that at about first light each day I would go hunting for goats and food , do you think they will kill the goat on the show ? It would be kinda fun to be on the show - well because you know after 10 or 12 weeks you could go home . All and All It is a good show .

I had high hopes for the Colony, but parts of the show seem to be less than genuine. That Mike guy gets on my nerves too.
