    Default Carbine Competition

Just curious, if we were to start some carbine competitions down at Rye Patch range in Hinesville, through Liberty Firearms Association, if anyone would be interested in participating. I know we have plenty of AR nuts in the area (cough..Daniel Defence guys), but I would like to know if y'all would like an opertunity to do some shooting and wring out your gear.

I would really like to see this area get more active in shooting sports. Seems like we have a lot of gun owners but most don't shoot very often.

I would go if I'm off during that time. Might not shoot, but I would hang out and maybe take pictures.

Oh your shooting. The point is to give people more opertunities to shoot, not more oppertunities to take pictures. YOur ARs need more scratches anyhow.

I can promise that isnt going to happen, although I see no reason not to bring out the M-1 and shoot. Hell I wouldn't mind running a Garand through one, just for fun, even though it's not a carbine. I've seen a levergun run through a carbine comp on ARFCOM and it looked like the guy had a blast.

I really didn't know where Hinesville was.... I just checked Mapquest... 4 hours 55 minutes / 287.93 miles from Temple, Georgia... a bit far unless I was going to vacation in Savannah. We school teachers don't get to pick our days off. But as of next June........ every day will be a weekend!

My M-1 Carbine seems more accurate than my Mini-30, but that still means 6 to 8 inch benched groups at 100 meters (iron sights) for me, not exactly competition zone...

C'mon man. I was born in 1991. Carbine without AR doesn't seem right to me.
