Default My 458 SOCOM SBR ***NEW PICS***

Had to send this back to Marty for some fine tuning. Its at the post office now waiting to be picked up and sighted in. Here is a picture I took before I sent it off:

10.5" barrel with a phantom FH, DD 7.0 Lite rail and DD sling mounts. The scope is a Millet DMS-1 in a LaRue SPR-E mount.

Gonna be my piggy killer, if I find any that is

    ***NEW PICS***

Added the light and the crappy mount. I will try to get pics of the light output latter. Its rated at 290 Lumens. I like it better W/O the Phantom thus far.

    So what ya think?

Thats a good looking rifle Cap. Question....will the .458 SOCOM round work in standard 5.56 magazines? I see you have a PMag inserted and it sparked my curiosity.

Yep its supposed to. I found that it doesnt really like the PMags very much but the USGI mags work fine thus far. That was one of Martys requirements on the rounds inception if I recall correctly. It had to be use standard AR mags.

If I'm not mistaken the 50Beowolf and 450 Bushmaster use a modded AR mag.

One more question. Is this a direct blow back system, or gas impingment?

Gas impingement. There is a low pro gas block under the rail and a pistol length gas tube.

Its back from Teppo Jutsu so I'm about to take it to the range. Marty took the Phantom off to ship the upper back to me and installed a SS thread protector. Looks pretty cool without the FH in place. You really notice how short the barrel it.

About to head to the range. i'll try to get some pics while I am there

Its sighted in now. And my dumbass left the camera in my buddies truck

I mounted a 6v 290lumen light to it in a shitty mount. Looks pretty badass and I think I'm gonna leave the light on (I'll get a better mount from DD). The law say you can use a 6v light to hunt hogs so its legal.

Sorry to keep you waiting but I wont get the camera back until thursday.
