Thread: Ruger brand 20rd mag for my Mini-30

Just Got it! But it's a Christmas present and I won't get to see it again until the 25th.... I have lots of aftermarket mags, 10s, 20s, and 30s, none of which work worth a darn. Looks like Ruger did it right, will find out after Christmas. One of the biggest problems is (has been?) the actual shape of the mag. Ruger's factory 7.62x39 5 round is tapered towards the bullet end, where all the after market mags were made cheaper with a retangular profile looking down into the mag. The new, just introduced, 20 round factory mag is tapered like the original 5rd mag. It better work.... it was $40....
