    Default Savage .308

I've been looking at getting a Savage bolt gun in .308

I already have a Savage .17HMR with the Accutrigger and absolutely love it. Does anyone have it in .308 that could offer a review? Thanks.

I want a 308 bolt gun and the savage is probably what I will end up with if I dont have my buddy build me a custom barreled action. They get nothing but good reviews and high praise. That and the Remington LTR seem to be the best deals on the market right now.

That said you cann't conceal a bolt gun, so put it on the back burner for now.

I'll just open carry it! HAHA. But yea, the Remingtons are higher in price, right? Savage seems to put out LOTS of gun for the money.

yeah the Remington is a little more expensive and the trigger is supposed to be **** dood on the Savage right out of the box. With the Savage you have a great shooter right out of the box once you add a GOOD set of rings and scope. Keep in mind you are going to spend as much on optics and a mount as you are on the rifle itself, if not more.
