Thread: .41 mag reload question

i just picked up a s&w 657 in 41mag. w/ 8 3/8" bbl,
any one got some good hunting load data for one of these.

I can look in some of my reloading books when I get back from out of town working.

I have never reloaded 41 so you will have to ck the books

Congratulations!! I love my .41 mag. I have a Dan Wesson with a 4" and a 6" barrel. Now these are the loads I use but a DW is a little stronger then a S&W and I'm disavowing the responsibility for typographical errors so double check this before you start throwing charges...
Jacket 210 grain bullets
AA No 7 13.1 grain -16.4 grains velocity 1100-1400
AA no 9 15.3-19.2 grains velocity 1100-1400
Win 296 17.6-22.6 1100-1400
H110 19.5-22.7 1100-1400

41 mag shooter for over 25 years
best load in most cases is
20-21gr H110
I like Fed 150 primers
