Thread: 30-06 half way done but ready for Deer

Well finished up 40 rounds of 30-06 for a friend today. I only had two range sessions to work on his loads but did manage to get this ready for him. I know more tinkering I could get his rifle shooting even better but all he is concerned about is killing deer. The load I settled on is

Brass: Federal
Primer: Federal 210
Powder: 56.7gr IMR4350
Bullet: Hornady 165gr SST
Average Velocity: 2840fps

I will let him fine tune the zero.

I think he'll be very happy with those!

How did this turn out?

not satisfied, after shooting this load a lot it show it was not as consistant as it should be. Work okay for Deer hunting but we are going to fine tune some more this summer.

Guess thats the joy of reloading
