    Default Got ammo today.

Went to Georgia Arms during lunch, got 300 .45 colt bullets, RNFP 250g for the usual $28 and 1000 Federal large pistol primers for $36 (was $29) They had federal 22 solids in the 500 rd bulk for $26 I think but I said no to that. Went on out to Wal-Mart to look for .22 bulk and they had Federal 550 round bulk packs for $17 something, but I bought 2 boxes of 333 rounds of Winchester 36g hps for 9.97 each.

First time I've seen a full box of LP primers (the box I got was the last one on the shelf) and .22 bulk packs since the election.

Glad you found some ammo. The local wal-mart here still doesn't have a very good supply.

Where do you live again? I have it on good intel that the walmart in Austell has tons of Federal 9mm and .40 with a Blazer Brass price tag. Might be worth your trip if that's what you need.

But it seems this new cheap-o federal brand doesn't come in .45 yet.

I came in every week to check supplies in austell....unlike all other Walmarts it NEVER dwindled. Must be less shooters around.

I'm still pretty well stocked on most calibers. I seldom shoot my 9mm, and the two Glocks have enough for several more range sessions. Got lots of Corbon .40 cal. Good for several years of loading .45 Colt.

My concern isn't so much the availability of ammo as it is the environmentalists getting lead bullets banned nationwide. I think it's coming.

And the high prices then will drive demand down and run bunches of folks out of the shooting for fun business. I'm going to lay-in several thousand more rounds of .22s for future fun cheap shooting.

I rarely say anything good about Federal, but the bulk pack HP 22s are about the best commercial small game 22 available. They don't expand, they flatten out, giving a quick kill without much meat damage. I used to file off the round nose of 22s until I bought some of the Federals. I think the bulk packs are the only ones that do it. They have a very small, shallow hollow. Any other Federal HP I've seen expands, which I don't want if I'm shooting squirrels or rabbits.
