Deer Tacos!
Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you about a cheap, quick, and easy meal that is tastey! Buy an Old El Paso taco kit and use a pound to a pound and a half of ground venison. The kits come with 12 shells (I like the one with 6 hard and 6 soft), meat seasoning, and salsa. I usually buy an additional pack of the seasoning and use half of it in addition to the pack with the kit. Simply brown the meat and when the directions say drain the juice after browning only drain half of the juice and add the water as stated in directions. The reason I only drain half the juice is because venison tends to be dry due to the lack of fat and this helps keep it moist and tastey. I recommend getting the 4 Cheese Mexican shredded cheese. Top your tacos off with cheese, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream or whatever you like and you got a tastey meal! I like to heat up a can of refried beans to have as a side item and coat the beans with a little salsa and a bunch of the cheese!
