Thread: jeep update!! Pics

I have spent 31 hours on the cj in the past 3 days! Wanted everything to be new and reliable for my journeys through the mountains.

rebuilt the lower end of the motor, main and rod bearings.
new rear seal and oil pan gasket
all fluids in the entire jeep are new(and correct!!, thanks PO, moron had atf in a t176 tranny! they have brass syncro gears. YOU CANT DO THAT!!!!)
all new motor mounts
new trans and tcase mounts
scraped 2 inches of crap off the skid plate
checked the top end rocker arms for wear and replaced valve cover gasket
new to me hard top and doors installed
new light housings and bulbs

waiting on all the suspension bushings and shackels to get hear from 4wheel parts and she will be done(i hope).

O' and notice the ga gun and game sticker on the back window!!

Man you sure do got that one looking nice. I noticed you painted the diamond plate. I like it painted.

258 4.2 I-6 the ONLY jeep motor that was ever any good IMO. I have built over 20 of those motors and never had an issue with one, built a couple 304's and one 360 and they all fell apart.
