Anybody running one? What do they actually do?
Anybody running one? What do they actually do?
I don't have one for mine yet but plan to get one. If I understand right. They remap the computer and give you maximum horsepower and torque. They make'em more fun.![]()
Ah-ha! I NEED one of those!
Most of the time you have to put a aftermarket exhaust system on to get the full package. It'll make it scream.
I seen a HMF pipe I'm interested in...........you need an AR15?
A CDI box for the Kawie V-twin basically just advances the timing. Kawasaki retards the timing a good bit from the factory, and they've always done it on the V-twins, starting with the Prairie 650. They make a huge difference on the Kawies, but like I said, it's just advancing the timing.
Strycnine......you wanting to trade for that pipe or what? Shoot me a PM, I've got connections and we can make things happen!![]()
Can you advance the timing mechanicly without the box? I'm not buying the 5hp boost claim. The 750 makes 50hp from the factory, I'm doubting that advancing the timing is going to pick up 10%hp, especially on 87octane.
There is not a way to mechanically advance the timing. It's all in the CDI pack. I know on the older model Prairies and Brutes it made a huge difference. Five horsepower was probably an underestimate. I think Kawie has been slightly increasing the timing over the past few model years in an attempt to keep the stock bike as fast as the Can-Am's and the Arctic Cats. So, there may not be much gain left to be had on the newer model bikes.
I emailed Moose and they don't have one out for the 09' models yet. Who else has them?
