Thread: Hello Triple G

I am a new member and about to call Ga my perm. home after retiring from the military. I have a question, when deer hunting in Ga is there a magazine capacity limit? I plan on using a DPMS LR-308 since the AR has become so familiar to me. I do plan on getting a 5-round mag. I imagine this will become more and more common as vets get out or retire.

welcome I don't think there is a magazine limit but you can ck at Georgia hunting .gov.

I haven't found anywhere in the regs about a mag capacity for deer. I've been use one of my AR15's on base with a 20rd Pmag while hunting hogs.

I haven't found anything either on mag capacity except for shotguns. I'll post it in the AR forums and see if anyone bites.

Hunted in Ga all my life, I'm 58 and have never seen a mag limit for deer. Not being critical, but I don't know if you'd even need a 20-30 rd mag.
