Well for all that don't know me I am Rob one of Ben's buddies and this seems like a great idea so I will try and do my best at posting all my hunts.

Sat. Jan. 24, 2009 Noon-Dark M.L. OTG
Well Ben and I decided to hit the woods for some porkers, got on some pretty quickly but couldn't close the deal. Walked a little further and got pretty close to 3 or 4 and watched them root at about 10 yds. but got winded and never got a shot. Ben and I split up and he walked a little further down the road and shot a 100-110 lb. boar, loaded him up and left.
4.5 hrs. 5 hogs 1 killed

Sun. Jan. 25, 2009 2:00-dark M.L. OTG
Well Ben and I went back out to the same area today in pursuit of some more pork. Well we walked the same areas that he killed his and had no luck so we decided to ride and try some different locations, I told Ben to drop me off while he went to meet up with another buddy and I would walk and stalk, well about 10 minutes after he dropped me off I spotted 4 at about 80 yds, and as I was closing the distance I spotted 2 more within 40 yds. well some of them winded me and let out some grunts and trotted off well one was to busy rooting so I decided to take her. She was about 35 yds. when I shot she let out a loud squeal and walked about 5 yds and layyed down, I called ben to tell him I had downed one and he was one his way back to get me, when i walked up to her she was still alive so i had to finish her. Anyhow she weighed around 100-110 lbs my guess. Anyhow good weekend!

Sat. Jan. 31, 2009 Noon-Dark, M.L. OTG
Well I went out today with some buddies to some spots that have been known to produce hogs today to do some walking and stalking. Well we walked and walked and so on and didn't get on any pigs or anything but we did find some promising deer hunting spots for the upcoming season. All in all a good day with my friends.
5 hrs. 0 hogs several deer on way home

January stats: 14 hours hunting-13 hogs-several deer on the road.

Sat. Feb. 7 2009 1-dark OTG M.L.
Well Ben and I went out today to try and locate some pigs. We went to several areas that usually produce good luck but not today, we saw alot of sign but no pigs. But any day in the woods is a great day.
5.5 hrs. couple of turkeys and deer. No kill!


Feb. 8 2009 2-dark OTG M.L.
Today I went with another buddy of mine Guerry to see if we couldn't get on some pigs. We again went to several areas and saw lots of sign but no luck with the pig's until on our way out we see a 100-130 lb. sow about 45 yds. off the road. I got out to try and stalk her but I think she saw the truck and picked her pace up and headed for the swamp. I had one clear shot but I figured it was to late so I didn't take it. Did find several good turkey and deer hunting spots though.
4.5 hrs. 9 turkeys 0 deer 1 hog 2 piglets. No kill!

Hunting Stats May-December:
Ok well it has been awhile since I have posted basically because i didn't see much action during turkey season so now I am back and will try to keep this updated.

Wed. May 20, 2009 ML, OTG:
Today i decided to go and chase some pigs despite the rain, so when I got off of work I made my way to an area that i know holds alot of pigs but they are sometimes hard to find. Well much to my luck I was easing down the road and I spot a 100 lb sow on my left on the side of the road so i decided to park and sit on the right side of the road to see if she would cross well as I was walking to where i wanted to stop I spot more hogs so I basically was looking for the biggest one when a pretty red one walks out so as you all know I had to let the .50 cal. bark. Made a bad shot but she didn't run to far. All in all pretty short but SWEET hunt she probably weighed 80-90lbs. perfect for the grill.
Half an hour in the woods 11 pigs 1 kill!

Friday May 22, 2009 ML OTG:
Today I again decided to hit the woods after work for some pork. Well i got to the spot I wanted to check and of course there was a truck there so I decided to go further down the road and beat the briars to see if i could push some piggy's up, well i did kick up ALOT of deer but don't think any pigs well i came upon the road i was headed towards and i spot 6 pigs rooting in the road well i decide to get back into some cover and try to get a better shot and when i came back out i see some guy looking down the barrel my way so i walk back in the woods and BOOM he shoots. So I leave and try another spot but nothing so i decide to go back to where i was earlier and lucky me i get on 2 150-175 lb pigs. I was about 10 steps away from one but i couldn't distinguish the head because of the sage brush so i lower my gun and i guess i got winded cause they both took off. Anyhow no kills but it was nice to see alot of Gods Creations in the wild today.
2 hours 9 pigs several deer 0 kills!

Sounds like an awesome two day hunts for sure of course anytime in the woods is a great time.....
