1/1 Went w Nolan. He missed a spike.
1/2 Youth Day in SC, we didnt see anything...
1/7 1st day in GA during deer season in several years. Killed a dillo w a stick and seen 8 turkeys. no deer
1/10 seen 5 does n fawns
1/11 Seen 5 does n fawns, shot at 3, killed 1, found belly hair on 1, and nothing on 3rd
1/15 Had to try once more. Seen 1 doe over 200yds I didnt try for and had 5 longbeards walk by 2 of them at 20 yds.
1/16 No break for me, Back in SC after hogs. Found lots of sign and a dead one and seen 1 run off as it winded me
1/18 Intense doesnt describe today. The pigs were breeding something fierce, sounded like my neighbors dogs barking. 3 groups all around us, we were in 10ft planted pins(thick) I only saw 10 but heard many,many more. 2 came into 20 yds and Nolan shot a sow with his rifle, then a big boar came into 35 yds w no shot for him. Then we stalked after one group only to decide to go after a closer group. I missed a sow with my longbow that was being bred by a boar hog. He was on top of her and I should have aimed higher but I shot low and missed. It was my best hog hunt in a long time and I will be right back after them probably in a couple days.Seen 3 deer as well.
1/19 Altamaha WMA- seen 2 deer
1/20 Got on 2 groups of hogs and put 15" of a shaft in a big boar w no blood trail. Gonna go back in am for him.Watched 4 200lb boars try to breed a sow today. it's crazy on this property right now. Same place I was Monday.
1/21 went out in rain looking for boar. Since We had guns I'll count it. 3 hours nothing seen
1/22 Went back in there, seen 7 deer 1 8pt
1/26 Got 25 yds from 4 deer(9total), seen couple pigs, stuck a dillo
1/28 Hit 3 wmas scouting for pigs. Seen 1 pig
1/31 got on a group of 15 this am at Stewart. I shot a 40lber and had the boar and 3 sows charge in and almost put me up a tree. They rushed in to 10 yds because that's how far my shot was. Complete pass thru right behind front leg and followed blood for 250 yds and No Hog.

2/1 No hogs Seen 13 deer and 14 more on roads coming home.
2/4 Started a 3 day Stewart hunt> Got on a sow w pigs real quick. Had her lay down at 20 yds and milk them. Wind shifted and she was off. Seen 4 more that my friend stalked and missed one.
2/5 Seen a few deer and 1 boar which caught me off gaurd at 40yds.
2/6 Seen a sow with 8 litle ones, give us the slip, seen 6 deer and put a stalk on a group of 4 biguns and 6 little ones. The wind changed and messed it up. Had we been hunting w guns 6 would have died over the weekend. Instead we had no kills but loads of fun and lots of walking.
2/12-2/14 tried some rabbit hunts. Seen quite a few and got a video together of the last day.
2/15 got on 6 hogs. It took all of 5 mins for "The Man" to put PLP on hogs. I filmed him take a porker w the smokepole.
2/16 No hogs seen 8 deer 1 was a 4pt
2/18 got on group of 10 little ones. Shot one w longbow but lost it after trailing 250yds.Seen 1 deer.
2/21 seen 5 deer, jumped several more
2/22 Didnt see anything
2/25 Got on 10 pigs, killed 1 sow, seen 2 deer and jumped a big boar bout hour before dark at 25 yds.
2/28 jumped 2 hogs at Stewart then went to Altamaha WMA and only seen a turkey and 1 deer.

3/3 Seen 1 turkey 2 deer no Hogs...
3/10 Seen 2 deer and played w a gobbling turkey at dark.
3/15 Seen 4 dillos, missed 1, shot 2
3/17 Got on 9 pigs, 1 deer. Filmed Nolan taking a sow. Had 1 gobblin nearby.
3/20 Doubled up on opener for turkey. Seen 3 gobblers 4 hens 12 deer.
3/22 Fours hours in blind, nothing seen but a bunch of deer on the road.
3/25 7.5 hrs in the blind, nothing seen
3/27 1 gobble on the roost, 1 on the ground. Had 4 strutters out 100 yds from us but wouldn't acknowledge us. After they passed we slipped around in front of them. Nolan had the 4 2 yr olds at 45 yds but couldnt get a shot on them. 3 jakes came into 25 but he didn't want one of them. The group was 2 hens,3 jakes, and four mature birds but nobody wanted to play... Seen 12 deer also.
3/28 Had one gobblin at daylight but never showed himself

4/8 1st time back out. 3 hrs and 3 miles of walking. 1 raccoon and 4 deer.
4/10 4 hrs Seen 1 Gobbler. Nolan got him.
4/11 worked a few while trying to do plots. seen 9 then 3.
4/16 heard 4 birds today, 4 hours seen 3 deer
4/18 Spent a couple hours at Chickasawhatchie WMA. heard 3 birds
4/24 Sat a foodplot w bow n Nolan. Had one gobble 50 times 700 yds away by my truck but I didn't go after him as I was waiting for them to come to me.(mistake) Seen 1 deer.
4/27 Sat blind for 3 hours this am. Finished my Ga turkey season w 10.5"1 1/4" spurred gobbled
5/1 worked a bird bout 45 mins but he never would cross property line. Seen 9 deer
5/2 Made "The Walk" at Altamaha. That's 3.7 miles one way. seen 3 gobblers, hen, a yote, n 1 deer looking for hogs.
5/14 Went to Stewart walked 2.5 miles seen 2 deer n a yote goin in.
5/22 8 hours 32 hogs, 2 gobblers, 2 hens, 2 deer, 2 gators, 2 snakes...

6/2 Went to stewart. got on 10 pigs close to road, parked 500 yds away and was walking towards them when at 100 yds the game warden rides by. He didnt stop to check me but just waved and said they are still there but they were gone.
6/23 Went w PLP today. Seen 7 pigs, 2 deer, 4 turkeys

7/1 Took Nolan with his wheelie bow trying to get him a kill on video. We seen 1 black yote, 5 hogs, 9 deer and 12 turkeys(4 hens,8 poults)
Put a stalk on group of 4 hogs but they were moving to fast to catch.
7/4 Met up w a few friends today and man was it awesome. Marty and CJ both got trad kills and I shot one that got away. Ended up me seeing 1 deer, 7 turkeys and 19 hogs. Had 2 stalks to within 20 yds but only 1 shot taken.
7/5 seen 1 deer, 1 yote and boar. Had him at 30 yds but got winded.
7/8 Meet up w PLP and did we have some fun. I seen 5 deer and 3 hogs. I got 2 w xbow(my 1st xbow kills) and plp got 3 with his rifle.
7/9 took Nolan out for a bit. 1 turkey, 3 hogs, n 3 deer but no shots.
7/22 went out at 7pm got on 2 hogs and seen 4 turkeys rain cut it short.
7/30 Went w Ben. He doubled up on pigs and we seen 13 turkeys, 2 deer and 7 pigs. On way home we saw 2 yotes n 2 foxes and several more deer.

8/1 Well deer season in SC is just a few weeks away but I still been after them hogs. Seen 4 today along w 9 deer and 10 turkeys.
8/1 GA Hoggin again, got on a mess 12 total, plp got one with a 2 n1 shot but the other got away w just a scratch.
8/6 Ga Went w PLP, seen 19 hogs, 22 turkeys and 1 deer. Plp missed w handgun.
8/7 Ga Went w Nolan seen 12 turkeys, 1 deer and 4 hogs.
8/12 Ga Got on sow w 5 pigs but she left em and I stayed w them for an hour. Had em at 10 yds hiding in a thick spot and she never showed back up
8/15 SC Sat w Nolan on his stand. Had a spike and a doe come in. Nolan shot the spike.
8/17 SC The short of it, I saw 2 mexicans.
8/28 SC just hadn't been "into" hunting yet but we did today and had several wind us.No sightings
8/29 SC got winded again
8/31 SC only a dillo

9/9 SC Seen a doe and dillo, got winded.I have been working on food plots some but not hunting lately.
9/12 Ga Nada for me but Marty seen 2 does.
9/14 Ga Nada had one blow in distance at 6:50
9/16 SC I had the best hunt in a while for me today. Walking in I ran off 3 does and at 7:00 I had a 100+" 7pt come into 40 yds and feed off behind me.

Now let me start over, all my nocks fit loose on these smaller strings so I have been using dental floss to build them up so today after getting out truck I tie her up and walking in I goto take a practice shot and realize I tied her up on the wrong side of the nock point.

Back to the hunt so I am watching him feed out at 40 yds when my arrow falls of my bow and crashes to the ground, he threw his head up and went back to feeding. I get another nocked and continue to watch him as he leaves.
So as dark nears I hear a deer walking in and this 6 pt clears the tree in front of me but catches my wind and is standing broadside now at 10 yds looking at me(Did I mention buck #3 is 5 yds behind him?) The 6pt stomps his foot and gets behind some brush at 15 yds then blows and runs off leaving the other buck still standing. 5 minutes pass before he moves and as he finally gets behind tree I come to draw and pull the arrow off my string...
It just wasn't meant to be for me today but still its the best traditional deer hunt I have had yet, 3 bucks 2 inside 15yds and no shots taken...I dont know what the 3rd buck was other than he was bigger than the 6ptr.

9/17 SC Back in same w nolan nada
9/18 SC I go back in same spot. The buck is a mature 7ptr, had him at 25 yds tonite but he turned and walked away.
Had another wind me later on. He has been seen at 7 pm 2 of last 3 nights.
9/19 Ga today. Nada
9/25 Ga Seen a gray fox
9/26 Ga Only sat 45 mins in am rain did me in.
9/28 Ga Missed a buck makin a scrape at 12yds right at last light.

10/2 SC seen 2 does, the 1st came within a minute of being in the tree and came to the base of it. Had to of heard me come in.
10/4 Ga jumped a buck n doe walking to stand and apparently he came back looking for his lady friend. 7prt seen him twice more came by at 40 and 30 yds.
10/5 GA AM nada
10/6 SC Got my 1st traditional deer, seen 2
10/8 SC Had the big 7 at 15yds(5:30pm) but he got onto me and hauled tail. The 6 I had at 10 yds 2 weeks ago came back and I got an arrow in him but lost blood tonite. Goin back in am.
10/9 SC Found my deer.Sat w Nolan at his feeder Didnt see anything
10/10 Ga killed doe w smokepole seen 3 does n 1 big 8pt
10/11 Ga Didnt see anything am but my buddy got 2 and seen 4.
10/12 SC 2 coons
10/15 Ga Sat w Nolan and he busted a 185# 8ptr.
10/17 Ga Seen 1 deer. 9 ptr killed him
10/18 Ga sat w Nolan seen 6 does n fawns
10/20 SC made w quickstop at NWR on way home seen 2 deer and a bobcat came in to 5 yds of me.
10/21 SC nada
10/29 Ga seen a doe and 2 foxes and 10 turkeys
10/30 Ga got on 15 hogs walkin to stand. Missed twice.
