    Default Fully guided hunt...What a pal...lol

Me and my friend Stan met up at 5:40am this morning. We got in the woods at 6:30am just as it was cracking good light. We started pushing around, and within the first 30 minutes Stan had a 80-100# hog bust up in front of him.He couldn't get a clean shot with the smokepole, and the hog went straight away from me.

We had high hopes and kept pushing.Stan found a shed, and we were just enjoying the day.Still had high hopes.Around 11am we called that spot done, and moved on to the next.We got to the new spot where Stan had shot one the other day,and the sign was awesome.Another 2 hours of pushing/slipping,and no hogs seen.

The rain started dropping down on us,and we checked the radar on my phone.I saw that if we went west we could drive through it and maybe get into some action. The hogs have been pretty depressed acting lately,as dry as it has been, and we knew the rain would get them fired up.We were both tired as we could be,but I had a place on the hill I wanted us to check out.

Me and Stan laughed at how we had really gotten it handed to us today. We joked how Each hour today was like a round in a prize fight. Here it was the 12th hour of the hunt today, and like in a 12 round championship fight we had lost every round on the score card, except maybe a draw on the first round.I told Stan we had a punchers chance, and we were going to swing for the fence. This one last place would put out if anywhere would.

We only had a few minutes left when we got there, and We split up at the last...5 minutes after I lost sight of Stan I saw 8 hogs.I couldn't get in touch with him,and I only had about 8 or 9 minutes left of legal shooting light.I slipped into position, and picked out the first one that gave me a good shot. With 4 minutes left to go I delivered that knock out punch we were hoping for..lol

We worked super hard for this hog.I will remember this hunt for a long time to come.I also will remember Stan sharing 2 of his packs of pretzels, cinnamon bagel,an extra ham and swiss sandwich his wife made,a bottle of water, and 2 sodas. He even chaufeurred me around all day.I highly recommend this fully guided hunt..lol
