He finaly did it. Josh mised a couple hogs last year but got a doe. Well this year he is off to a good start. One on sat morn & the other sun eve. Both shots were perfect. Right behind the ear taking out the spine with minimal colateral damage. The first one we spoted walking back to the truck. He was working under a small cluster of white oaks & was so busy sucking them up he never new what hit him. We stalked in to what I figure to be about 20yds. He weighed around 100-110lbs.
The second was late sunday. The sun had set & as we were planing to ease back toward the truck we heard the pitter patter of little feet. We crouched down & as we looked he poped out from a heavy thicket presenting an exelent broadside shot at about 10yds. This one was 150-160lbs. We chased one around when we first came in but couldent get him in front of us. He knew just were to go & how to avoid us. He was also around 150lbs. Joshes weapon of choice is the guide gun in 45-70.
This is saturdays hog.
And sundays.
