This has been an awesome year.

Yesterday started out rough.I don't know how,but I missed one at 25 steps with my 44mag.I think I flinched.I shot a diller later,so it must have been me.Hog fever I guess..lol

Anyways.Me and my friend Tommy went to check out a field close to dark.We saw a humongous boar.We tried to slip in,and on the way to him another boar came out the back of the field.I don't know what happened but the biggest one ran to the tree line.Either he was scared of the other boar,or more likely he saw/smelled us.

So we tried to put the move on the smaller boar.We got to within 200yds,and he takes of coming right for us!I tell tommy to get ready,but he can't see the boar.I am about 7" taller than Tommy and he couldn't see what I could.The hog then stopped and ran away from us?Well we took off,and he makes the mistake of stepping back out of the brush at 180 steps.I took a knee and when the cross hairs settled I squeezed off.

The hog dropped in his tracks...What a lucky shot for me!I turned around to look at tommy who was backing me up with his .308 T/c pro.He said "you got him"..I think he knew I was suprised too..lol

He was a nice one.I didn't get to weigh him,but he is around 200# and had 2"+ cutters.
