Talked to PLP some yesterday and he was trying to help one of his friends get a hog, so I was flyin' solo for the day. I covered a good bit of ground with no luck other than seeing several deer (almost hit one 10ft off the bumper) and several turkeys. So I headed over to my 'honey hole" and found the freshest sign I'd seen all day, so I stayed put. I got in position with the wind in my favor of where I guessed they'd come through and waited. About an hour before dark I heard some grunting.....a pack was coming!!! I watched a nice sow slip by with some assorted sized smaller ones and when this sow came through behind the rest I let 'er rip. It's my first kill with my M4/AR15, so I was pretty stoked. After about a 150yd drag and some serious sweating I got her loaded up. I didn't get a chance to weigh her with my new scale, but I'd guess her around 130lbs. She had a fat belly, but you can't see it good due to how I positioned her for the pic.
