Thread: Father's Day

I had to work stand-by this weekend.Yesterday we had no luck at my friend Brandon's property.Today wasn't looking too good,because we had a fire,but we got a break around it,and it was good to go.So I got off and checked a few spots.The rain started coming in,and I was hoping it would get them going.I was going to meet up with strycnine and Ben,but when the rain came in I figured it would be best if we split and covered more ground.

Around 8:15pm on my way to another spot I noticed some hogs slipping out of a bay onto the hill.I slipped in on them,and I started looking them over.I like to shoot hogs with color phases if I can.Most of our hogs are black.I saw one that was a dark red/copper with black mixed in.I took him,and as the pack scattered I found a good eater in my scope.He bolted as I shot,but I hit him across the back.The big boar was 135#,and the little boar was 40#..JUST MY SIZE!

Sure could have used some help to load them up.....

I thought you and Ben were still together.I left several messages with him,and after I loaded them up He got back with me and said y'all had already split up.I hope it gets hot again.I am ready to go back...lol

Yeah, we got tired of the endless muddy roads. All that spinning was sucking the gas down pretty quickly and making a ton of noise. But regardless, you know I'd have turned around and came to help. Heck, I drove all the way to Jack's favorite spot one day to help him drag his biggun'.....50+/- miles one way?
