    Default star sa 9mm

I found this pistol while helping a friend of mine move the other week. I have heard mixxed reviews on this one some say peice of junk some say not so bad. After all I think that the military issued them for awhile. It was stored in the military leather holster so needless to say it had some rust. I had it refinished and now it looks great. I need a clip for it and the grips are scratched up pretty bad. I was just looking for any input really and any good sources for parts.

    Thanks

I have heard that Star and Astras are about the same. I have an Astra a-70 and love it. It's an older gun but functions flawlessly and shoots great!
Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take a whoopin'

Once I get a mag for it I'll let you know how well it shoots. The gunsmith I used in buford ga did a fantastic job refinishing it. I hope it shoots as well as it looks.

    Default here is the info

Star Firearms : Firestar Series Pistols

I had a Firestar M43 and loved it. I gave it to my son on his 21st Bday...he loves it to...great compact gun. its all spanish steel so its a tad heavy.

these great little guns can be found on gunbroker.com from 250 to 400 bucks depending on shape its in...

I replaced the Firestar with a CZ 2075 Rami decocker...now this is a sweet gun..it is my primary carry gun now..

The Star B and the Firestar are completely different animals. The much older B was full sized and 1911ish as opposed to the modern, compact, Firestar.
