I always wanted a stainless 357 but wound up with blued. The best thing I have done to it was put a super blackhawk hammer on it.Just won a super blackhawk(square trigger guard) grip frame off Gun Broker.Grips from brownells already came so as soon as the grip frame comes in,I can put it on my 4 5/8" 44.That way I can get all fours fingers on the grip instead of the pinky under the grip thing.Ever want to let your stainless go,let me know.

Sounds like a nice score.I took mine apart one time and the hammer spring was a pain to get back in.

I'll let you shoot it if that will work....... This was my second handgun and I think I might want hang on to it for awhile.

Pull the hammer back, put nail or strong paper clip in bottom hole and let off hammer tension.that way you've captured the strut spring.I made that mistake one time and thought I was going to need extra help.If you do forget and not use a nail or the supplied pin that cames with double action rugers(under grip panel),put strut in a vise and take a pair of vice grips, lightly grip and turn spring cw until you can get a pin in the hole. After you made the mistake once, you will probably remmember the next time. It's not fun to get back on.A lot of aggrivation and cussing went into that mistake.

I use to have a blackhawk few years back and it was a sweet shooter...
