    Default Glock vs. 1911

Which do you like better and why? I'm interested in seeing what ya'll think. I own a few of each and I like both. I still like my 1911 better but both of them are fun. This could be a fun thread if everyone will state and defend thier point.

    I have both, but I don't have much trigger time on a 1911. I picked GLOCK........FTW!

I guess it depends what it's for. For a defensive pistol, you'd be hard pressed to find a better choice than a Glock. If we're talking about guns to fondle and take to the range every so often, then I'd look at a sexy high end 1911.

    I voted Glock.

    SIG.

I've owned a few 1911's, and a few GLOCK's. The GLOCK pistols out lasted my 1911's (as far as length of time owning them), but in the end, even the GLOCK's took a hike.

    SIG P229, FTW.

Really though, it's all personal preference. Once can say "ergonomics of GLOCKS suck." Some can say "The 1911 is outdated and heavy."

It's all about what you can shoot well, and what feels good to you.
