Thread: First Time having Makarov at the range.

Shot at 15 yards. I like it. Low recoil...low muzzle flip...very easy to control. Very accurate.

The two side shots are from the DA pull....I have to get used to that. Or I can just thumb back the hammer. I'm confident in the Makarov's safety to let me do so.

I need to get more FMJ ammo and practice more. I don't want to shoot up all of my SD ammo.

Very nice pistol...absolutely love it. Not a single problem in the five mags I went through. I'm confident in it as a carry pistol.

I'm using some 120 gr and 115 gr Bi-metal HP that you cannot get in the U.S. anymore. No longer imported.

It's an awesome SD round.

Buffalo Bore just released an 115 gr +P semi-wadcutter type bullet for self defense. If I was limited to 94 gr FMJ like most Makarov shooters then I might consider trying it.

Nope. They made the 120 gr HP...and it had problems (mine doesn't) so they made it a 115 gr HP to solve the problems. And if can no longer be imported in the US.

So I have some of the only 120 gr and 115 gr HP 9x18mm left in the country.

I really want to try that Buffalo Bore stuff.
