Default Rotating ammunition in CCW guns?

How often do you guys rotate the ammunition you carry in your concealed carry weapons? And how long do you leave your magazines loaded?

I try to rotate once a year and all magazines are loaded at all times. Not sure what is the actual suggested practice.

I was trying to rotate out full magazines every week for my CCW weapon and my home-defense weapons, but I've kinda fallen out of that habit. I was just curious as to what other peoples practices were.

no reason to unload your mags EVER unless they are 30 years old. All the newer springs are fine with stress, they take the stress the same way the take the UN stress. It doesn't hurt them. As far as rotating ammo, every few months I move mine around for no particular reason.

I shoot my SD ammo whenever I can justify buying more to replace it, which usually ends up being once a year or so.

I'm with caleb on the springs. I load and unload my 2 SD Glock magazines every few months just to assure myself how many rounds I have loaded. Yeah, if I have more handy, I'll shoot the old ones and load up new ones.

This reminds me of the .45 I was issued in 1971 (flying to Ft. Riley to pick up a prisoner) It was really neat to be able to carry a loaded weapon on a couple comercial flights.... but..... the same rounds had been loaded and unloaded so many times for guard duty it appeared the brass was about worn thru in places..... probably a good thing I didn't have to try it out....
