I was at my favorite gun shop today and he had a 9X18 Pistol for $209.00 anyone know of this Caliber??? Good or Bad

the ammo is a little expensive. What make of pistol?

9x18 is alright.

People POWER load for it.

It's the Makarov caliber and I'm guessing that the pistol you saw was some CZ or Mak-wannabe.

Definitely not Walmart ammo. If you're not into hunting for the ammo, don't bother. The cheap prices are appealing though for these pistols. You can find some cheap surplus packs sometimes.

I use to have an East German Makarov but , like a jack@ss I traded it.

i had one in 9x18 that looked like a walther pp made with an aluminum frame and a blued slide.....i gave it to my sister after someone broke into her place(downtown savannah-imagine that) . It actually shot pretty good.

Does she shoot it a lot?

If she does shoot it tell her to watch out for frame cracking if its got a fixed barrel. Thats one of the probs with those lightweight aluminum frames is that the fixed barrel takes a lot of abuse thwn the slide cycles and closes up against the breach face.

i doubt if she went throught the box of ammo i gave her -that's been 10 yrs.
i probably put 100 rds thru it....it is not nearly what a real walther is or a 1911 but was ok for her......

Makarov is what it was....I didn't buy it and really wasn't thinkin of buying it...

I was just lookin at some wheel guns and run across it so I ask to look at it But that Alum. is what cause me to hand it back...

I have a 380 Loricin with over 2000 rounds thur the tube and never been to the shop still shoots straight ......
