I'm trying to remove a stuck screw on my 1911 grips. Any suggestions? I've begun to strip the head of the screw and don't want to do any further damage. Let me know what y'all think.

you have a 1911 and your looking for a CCW?
What kind of screw is holding it on, a flat head, allen, or torx?
I can't exactly conceal that pistol all that well. The next purchase is going to be an addition to the 1911. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my 1911; it made me sell my Glock.
Torx. I've already stripped a good bit of the head off. So I figured I'd stop before I screwed it up too much...no pun intendedWhat kind of screw is holding it on, a flat head, allen, or torx?

you know that Eddie Bradley is one of the best 1911 smiths around and he is 30 miles from Savannah
yep same guy he is also one of the top pistol shooting champ's of his time. and a nice guy
But yea, I may have to remember to bring my 1911 with me next time and ask about it (assuming I haven't fixed it by then).
I ended up just snapping the wood grips off. I've got all the screws out now, but 3 of the 4 bushings are still stuck in. I've rigged up an impact screwdriver by hitting the back of a screwdriver while I'm turning, but it's only damaging the screw slots on the bushings. Any other suggestions?
HEAT. It may be locktited in place
