I would feel better if that had never had to go to the supreme court.
Why should I be excited that the Supreme Court overturned a 30+year law that basicly outlawed the personal defence inside the home? I am more outraged that it ever came to that. Even more so that it was a 5-4 vote that supported it.
One of the more important rulings in the last 100 years.
1. It affirms our individual rights to own firearms and puts the liberal "organized militia/national guard" argument to rest.
2. Puts the liberals on notice that any gun control legislation they pass may not fly with the high court. Previously they thought the courts were their friends.
I would like to go into more detail, but I have a bored 2 year old to tend to.
