    We just got back awhil ago and I thought I'd share some pictures.

    Florida? That's near Savannah.

    I like that place, though. Been there a couple times.

    Those are post-civil war cannons. The confederates didn't have any rifled cannon at Pulaski, but the federals did. The federal forces were able to stand off with accurate fire and hammer the fort to pieces (see all the holes in the walls) and there was nothing the confederates could do. IIRC, the "battle" only lasted several hours before the confederate garrison surrendered.

    ETA: Jack didn't get any pics of the damage, but it's pretty extensive on the sides of the fort that face Tybee and the river.

    Thanks for the information. I've been a couple times and that damage is amazing. I can't imagine seeing (in person, live action) something that heavy flying that far and still causing that much damage.
