Default NJ Hunters with their TN Boars

I pulled this from a NJ site I frequent. My nephew, Jason (Jersey Jays Taxidermy) will be doing the 2 boar mounts.

My dad and I just returned from a boar hunt in Tennessee at Spartan Hunting Preserve. Although it was a "hunting preserve" the hunt was more challenging and difficult than I expected. We both had a great time and were treated extremely well by Mitch Kemmer and his entire family. I took two (one rifle and one bow) and my dad took one with the rifle.

Me with my 340 lb rifle boar and dad with his 380 lb beast.

We dropped the meat off at Dietrichsfor processing on the way home and left the two boar heads with Jersey Jay's Taxidermy.

It was so much fun that I can't wait to do it again

Those first 2 hogs combined wouldn't weigh 350 lbs. People need to learn what hogs really weigh.

    Nice looking pigs.

It's nice to be able to haul them out like that.

My understanding they were weighed at the outfitter. I shared this post and those pics mainly because my newphew will do the taxidermy work on both boars and I am hoping to post the after pics when they are available..most likely Nov or later.

I have posted 2 pics on here in the my year so far thread of a 242 sow and an almost 300lb boar. Those pigs arent even close to 200 lbs.If they weighed them on scales they need a new one!
Send me the link to that site, I'll call them out over there. I aint skeered!!!!

I saw the pics of those huge hogs. Aweseome kills. Congrats, again to you and your son.

I believe what the hunters posted in the story I shared. I have been a non-hunting female member of that hunting forum for the last 3-1/2 yrs and am also a sponsor and know many from that site. All boars came from TN and IMO pics don't always do justice to the game. I have also seen the huge capes, as I was at my nephew's shop, just yesterday, checking out other mounts he is entering as exhibits in a taxidermy show. I will post the pics when those mounts are completed, later this year.

If I've learned anything, it's that hogs are notoriously hard to weigh with the human eye. I wouldn't doubt the weight unless I had a few other pictures.
