You need a WMA license to hunt on them($19) in addition to your regular hunting license($10)and if you plan on hunting big game you'll need the big game license($9).
If you just want to use the range it's free.
Thank you very much for clarifying this. I already have my big game and regular licenses so I just need to pick up the WMA one.
No problem.
Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.
I've heard some nightmare stories about people using these ranges. From what I've heard, some of these ranges attract the bad elements of society and just plain ole stupid people. One guy had a hole shot through the stock of his custom 10/22 by some kid with numbnut parents.
Go up to Dawsonville Forest you wanna see a bunch of numbnuts on a range
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
Piss on it and walk away
We don't have to go that far away. All we have to do is go down to Richmond Hill WMA. There are some real winners down there. Don't get me wrong thier are some great people also. But over all most of them scare the hell out of me. I've had peole point loaded weapons at me, watch them shoot threw the roof, and have them lock and load while I was down range. The only way I shoot down there is if I have some one stay back buy the table to provide rear security. Its a shame that you have to do this. I wish they would position a range master down there. It would stop alot of the problems. Even if they had volunteers do it. What do ya'll think?
