Thread: weekend geese

My trip to AL got canceled at the last minute so I had to resort to a local sod farm and another place for the season opener.

Sat morning the geese did not come it, sat afternoon (when I normally see them) they came in. I got two out of that flock.





Sunday morning I took the boat over to another place and saw a TON of birds. Got two there on the first pass and called it a day. Also made a bass fisherman **** his pants (his words, not mine, LOL).



Wanted to go back out Monday, but just had too much going on. Going back after work a couple days this week.

What size shot you shoot them with?

WELL, i WOULD be right there with you if I could get a damm boat. After mine was stolen I haven't had the cash to put out for one. But im still working on it.....

Yall? LOL, it was just little ol'me. Don't have anybody to go with me up here. I need to really get somebody to teach me how to use my goose call. If anybody heard me Sunday morning with it they got a good laugh I am sure, lol!

Shot them with a 3.5" BB federal premium high speed steel. Worked much much better than the old Win Express I used last year (the cheap stuff).

I guess that would count me out that is all I ever shoot whats on sale......
