Talking My Nephew's Recent GSTC Mount Entries

My taxidermist nephew entered several mounts in the Garden State Taxidermy Competition and I wanted to share these with y'all. Needless to say, I am quite proud of him.

    He received the following awards:
    ELK: 2nd place professional
WHITE TAIL SHOULDER: 2nd place professional
WHITE TAIL DEER LIFESIZE: 2nd place professional
WHITE TAIL DEER LIFESIZE HABITAT: 1st place professional
    RAINBOW/STEELHEAD TROUT: 3rd place professional
    HEN PHEASANT: 2nd place professional
    MALE PHEASANT: 2nd place professional

Last, but not least, he was EXTREMELY PLEASED as well as surprized and honored, to receive his 1st trophy for his collection, for 2009 Garden State Taxidermy Association "Best All Around Taxidermist"

Thanks, Jack, I will. I saw all of those up close before he entered them. He shot that buck about 2 yrs ago and just now got to mounting it for the show.

Danny, thanks, also. He told me he had to spend 6 hours using a jackhammer on the cement stairs of his basement to get that elk out...just wouldn't fit using the other stairs. He has to fix all of that, now. He was getting so anxious and time was getting close to getting all those mounts to the show. I have to say my young nephew has perseverance, which paid off.

Thanks for taking a look and for the nice comment. He'll repair and/or change the area where those steps had to be widened. That elk is part of his showroom. I have told him some have enjoyed his work. I'm just bragging about one of "my" own.
Cool you also do taxidermy. I'd like to see some of your work.

I know a lady that had to cut a door out.
She did a moose and totally forget about the 50"+ wide rack!

    Nice work!
