Trust me, they already have a plan to snatch that one out from under us. They wouldn't have given in that easy without a plan.
On the other hand, I think all credit cards should be illegal, then we wouldn't even have to worry about them! Pay for what you buy with what you have and things will be just fine.

People have a right to make poor decisions.

As far as credit cards are concerned, my feeling is, comes down to one's discipline.
I have bank cards and have not paid interest on any of them for about 30 yrs, so I don't really care what the interest rates are. I know not all can do it, but it is much better to use the cards for your convenience and pay the whole balance by the due date. Just a habit of mine. I refuse to pay more than I charge, but that's me. 
If I don't have the money to pay the bill, I don't charge it.
