GARDEN CITY, GA (WTOC) - Police are trying to track down who stole several weapons from a Garden City gun shop.
Investigators said one, possibly two people, broke in to the Dean Forest Road Guns and Ammo shop around 5:30am.
Police said they broke the glass in the front of the shop and went in. Most of the guns were locked up, but police said they did steal a handful of shotguns.
"It's pretty serious," said Garden City police detective Phillip Scholl. "We have weapons on the street now that are unaccounted for which could be used in other crimes."
Police are asking people to be on the lookout for someone trying to sell new shotguns on the street. If you have any information, call Garden City Police at 912.966.7787 or CrimeStoppers at 912.234.2020.
