Gun Show Report: Macon
well.........
got there @10:30 - things looked kinda slow. I've seen Eastman shows in the past at the convention hall @ Maconga Coloseum (hukt un fonix werkd 4 mee) that had a good many more tables and a lot more traffic.....was there even after dinnertime and still kinda thin.
-plenty of china made knives & such BS(booooo hiss)
-did see a good many AR's but the prices I was quoted had not come to reality all the way yet
- saw a lot of looking but did not see ONE yellow sheet filled out the whole time - one pistol trade between individuals that was it.....economy & reality. That might be a first.
-a fair amt of reloading stuff- primers high as hades but one dealer sold me several die sets at $20 per...not bad
-GA arms seemed to have a good bit of everything but ammo still high.
-people from two of the republican gov candidates were there in force trying to one up each other on who had the best position on the 2nd amendment
-the brightest spot for me was the table there with some of the C3 stuff
I was highly impressed. Bonus: Heard from the C3 guy what I think was some possible very good news for Daniel Defense but I need to confirm before I speak it.
-magazine prices had not come down there yet - the posting(Strycnine)on those AR mags the other day is the real deal still
-saw one dealer there who will remain nameless who probably has the same table full of Browning A-5's he had the first gun show I ever saw him at (circa 1986) - and the same markup scheme( blue book, grade gun up 20% condition over actual , retail x2...) what a do^#%ebag.....
he's like the gunshow cockroach - he'll probably be there after the nuclear exchange.
-a time was had by all in attendance..........
its not the arrow, it's the indian....
