I hear those things will beat the snot out of you. Any truth to that?
BTW I really should get a C&R
The Russian carbines have a fair amount of recoil to them. The rifle length Russians are easy to shoot. Now the Finns, with their sturdiness and heavier stocks, are a breeze to shoot. It's nothing to sit down and shoot 50-150rds from one of them.

Has anyone here read "Frozen hell: The Russo-finnish war of 1938"? My library has it and it is a fantastic book with a lot of narrative of the rifles and their use in battle.
