As some of you may know, I don't clean my AR15's like I shouldand was wondering at what round count do you clean?
I clean my 7.62x25TOK the same day after I get done shooting it because of the corrosive ammo.

I guess it boils down to personal preference. I personally try to clean after every session, and have known guys that do this religiously. But on the other hand I've known other guys to fire thousands of rounds and not cleaned until they started having problems.

I can't remember the last time I cleaned mine. I just keep adding oil to the bolt![]()

clean every time you get the time-that way if need be it will be clean and working if needed
It would be dumb to have to use it and it not work because it was dirty
I wont lie, I suck about cleaning my guns. My carry pistol gets cleaned after every outting, but the rest get done when I feel like it. Which tends to be every few months.
I do at least a quick clean after each range trip. Quick clean consists of wiping the bolt carrier group down and running a bore snake through the barrel a couple of times. I'll do a more detailed cleaning when I get time.
I believe that even if one doesn't clean regularly, he should still be inspecting regularly (mainly BCG small parts). I don't know about you, but I have a hard time inspecting what I cant see.
You're supposed to clean these thing? J/K!! I don't clean them often. Only when I am really bored and am sitting in front of the boob tube watching the Military Channel and drinking Miller Lite.
You can clean them?
