Thread: My 7.62x25TOK build is done! Pics and vid

I finally got my 10" SS 7.62x25 barrel in for my registered SBR today from Ron and assembled the upper!

Let me just say......if you ever need any barrel work done for an AR15 send Ron an IM on here. His stuff is top notch and he's a hell of a nice guy.

After fooling around with the Daniel Defense gas block and OMEGA rail I finally got everything lined up, tightened, and got to test fire it. I could only test it out to 30',but it seems to have decent accuracy. Maybe next time I'm off I'll get to check it at a longer distance.

They are working pretty good. I seems to run best with 15rds or less.

Well it may be the mag. Streching the spring may help. If streching makes it run with less rounds sounds like it needs a little more gas. Shorten a carbine spring by 1.5" (if its on a carbine stock)or open the gas port. LMK. This is my first Tok so bear with me. I ran 3 10rnd mags through it without issue. Next time I will run 20! Keep me posted.

It will be next trip home before I tinker with it.

Did you try the Tok out yet? I need to know if it is upper or mag related issues you are having.

I'm still not home from working......I work 16 days on before I come home. I'll be home next week if everything is running smooth here at work..


I hope it's just a mag issue. I'll swap in a semi bolt to start with and see how that does then I'll take some springs out of other 43 mags and try in the modified mag.

try switching buffers also what are you running now? a carbine or H, H2 or 9mm buffer?
i just finished my pistol build and had to switch from an H2 to a standard carbine buffer since i run a KX3 and it would double with the H2
