    Question Value of AR?

OK, I know Jack (not that Jack) about EBGs (Evil Black Guns) so somebody clue me in.

A friend was widowed a handful of years ago and her husband had some iron. She's sold some I believe but has (at least) a NIB AR. Markings on box say:

    Eagle Arms
    Part # EA9400
    Description E-2 16" CAR RIFLE W/SLING
    Part # EX0060 30 Round Magazine ( 5 )

Per Armalite it's a 1:9 twist, moly, pre-ban (collapsing butt stock, screw in supprersor), iron sights, fixed carry handle etc...

I have NO IDEA what this thing is worth but have at least a passing interest in perhaps giving it a new home. I absolutely MUST treat her fairly. So what is a fair price?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Phil, It's hard to say.I see the lowest MSRP for any Armalite AR15 rifle is $976.00.
I'd offer her $750.00 and go from there if it's in good shape.

I'd be willing to say $800 would be fair. However if you're wanting to look out for her, with the way things are selling right now you could probably sell it for her and get much more than that.

Some of the early Armalite lowers were A1 forgings and retro AR builders in ban states (then again just about anyone in a ban state) are known to pay a premium for them just to get the lower. $750-800 would be fair for a local sale, but I think you could get more selling to someone in a ban state.

Glad I'm not in the market for a complete rifle.

Thanks guys. I'm also hearing it's likely not the best quality? Not sure exactly what that entails but I'm guessing I'll pass.

+1 I was under the impression pre-ban Eagle lowers were GTG.
