Anybody use the Magpul MBUS BUIS? I'm just wondering how sturdy they are and what kind of abuse they can take.

I have a set on my 50AE. There very sturdy. Just a little different when it comes to aiming. You see alot more of the front sight than I am used to. Anyone else notice this?

I love mine. I dont notice a big difference between it and the Yankee Hill I use to have.........although, I was happily surprised at how rigid they are.

Just a little tidbit...don't mount one on a gas block. Apparently they melt.
But it's not my own experience, just something I read.

Any more word on these? Possibly their durability?
Their price makes me want to buy a rear in FDE.
Just a rear & you will be happy. I put a set on a 7.5" upper & had issues with aiming. Its just me but I could see the inner edge of ears of the front sight in the rear. Had a hard time keeping the front post in the center. I know its just me but the YHMs you get the whole front sight & that was easy for me. I guess too much shooting with standard AR sights over the years. On the 7.5" I moved the rear sight back one slot & the rear sight forward 4 slots. This gives me a nice circle with only the post to center. Happy camper now.
I may get a rear one day as well.
