Thread: my first AR

I bought a DTI AR15A2 kit- 20" Chrome lined, 5.56. I bought a stripped lower a couple of months ago, also a DTI. It got here this morning, and I spent the day assembling it and going on patrol around the house...

It is my first AR. Pics will follow eventually. My PMC 500 round case also came today. I already have 4 H&K 30 rounders and 8 more 30 rounders of various manufacture are in transit from various online distributors. (Pmags, GIs, and L5's.)

Despite this being my first AR, I've done a lot of research, and I've got to say that I'm impressed with the DTI kit. Comments?

Sounds like a nice build. Can't wait for the pics. I think the way gas prices keep going, I might start stockpiling to protect my stuff.

Thanks all, and yes, I will be needing a rail system soon. I want to get some other rifles first though, before the election. I still don't have an AK. So in a few months, I'll be tricking her out. Future plans include a light system, a green laser, and a red-dot system. For now, I have a great little vintage COLT 3x20 scope that my GF's grandpa gave me off of his old SP-1 Colt. (civilian A1)

UPDATE: I am going to the Adairsville shooting range on TUESDAY, the 17th, my 19th birthday to sight this sucker in.
