    Default AR Sling

I've been looking at a two point sling for my AR. I'm not sure which particular one I want to go with. What sling does everyone have and what do you recommend? Let me know. Thanks.

Larry Vickers Tactical sling is what I have. It is a very well made sling.

Another thing are the mounts. The DD ones are about $90 for the pair (QD). I don't think I can justify spending that much on sling mounts.

The Blue Force Gear Vicker Combat Application Sling is the only way to go. The material and craftsmanship are second to none. I have three of these sling. I prefer to to run the rear part of the sling to the rear of the buttstock and the the front of the sling to a Rail Mount QD Swivel Attachment Point (DD) mounted near the back of my rail system. This is what works best for me.

By rear of buttstock, I assume you mean the attachment that is standard on collapsible stocks?

I prefer to use a QD swivel if used with a Vltor or CTR Stock. Otherwise, you utilize the horizontal slot in the rear.

I'm using a DD single point end plate for the rear and a DD QD mount on my rail.

    The sling...Vickers of course.

I ordered the 5.11 padded presision long range sling the other day. Its a moddified Vickers I believe. Also incorperates a cuff sling which I like. I hate bipods and rather sling up.
